Amongst the too often heard, polarising cries of “masterpiece” and “disaster” more nuanced conversation is sadly being drowned out. Extreme social media reactions, “pick me” pull-quote bait and the now commonplace shouting of opinions are making it increasingly difficult to create any kind of agreeable dialogue about film.
Not Too Loud, then, aims to offer a balanced, more thoughtful alternative. Yes, here in our quiet corner of the internet we hope to cut through the unwanted noise of modern film criticism and provide a more grounded experience for readers, writers and cinephiles alike.
